I really like the grid idea, it gets some extra air however not very efficient I would say since heat goes to the screen rather than out but ... it helps.Β

Also I notices you've done the same as me and put isolation right at the top of the GPIO, in found some buttons didn't work due shorts caused by the pins if left too long due lack of space.Β

v nice!

Chris,

How did you make that grill piece for the back door?

Thanks for the comments πŸ™‚

@khronus yea I see what you are saying about the grill placement but its the only viable place for it really. I was quite surprised just how much heat comes from the grill and as they say, something is better than nothing πŸ˜‰ also.....though not the most practical....aesthetically it pleases me ;))Β

for the grill I used these from amazon.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N6BFVKO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I cut and sanded the hole in the case with a dremel tool.

I cut 2 grill pieces together as that workout at the right thickness for the PSP case. then I filed them around the edges to get a nice fit and finally hot glued them in place πŸ˜‰

Cheers

Chris

@dug1967

forgot to mention, the grill material is easily cut with scissors πŸ˜‰ very thin plastic.

To All,

I have really enjoyed building this and I am now looking at moving on to build a Wii U PiPad from a Nintendo Wii U gamepad and a Pi 3. I am stocking up on the parts but need some funding to finish all my shopping list purchases, hence......I will be selling this finished PSPi v3 soon, so if anyone is interested shout up an offer.Β

Cheers

Chris
