My v3 board came in so I jumped back on the project. SO much easier. Anywho followed the guide and after putting it all together I go to turn it on and get the green power light for a few seconds then powers off. I tried with the charger plugged in and had the same result. I checked the batteries and they have 3.8 on them. Thoughts?
I do get the orange charge light while the charger is plugged in
If you don't have an OS loaded on the SD card, then it will do that. If you have an OS on the SD card and it's attached to the Pi using a microSD adapter, try plugging it directly into the Pi.
Bingo! That did it. I got it to boot up and turn on. Going to take apart the SD tomorrow and see where i messed up. Thanks!
Excellent. The first place to check would be where the Pi connects to my board, since you're soldering blind. Take the SD card out of the Pi and use an ohmmeter between the pins on the Pi's microSD slot and the 9 pin holes on my board. The Pi only has 8 pins because microSD only has one GND, and the regular SD has 2 GNDs
Here's an image to show what I'm talking about
I made that off of memory. I have to double check that I drew the lines between the pins correctly when I get home later today. It should give you an idea of what I'm saying though.
