I just purchased a first gen PSP. I am looking to start this project, but I am not sure which compute module 4 to get. I assume I would want wifi and 8gb of ram. The only question I have is, is it better to have EMMC? I would assume I would just pop a 128gb micro sd card in the lite version and use that. Is there a benefit to getting a module with EMMC? If so, what size EMMC should I get?

Thanks in advance and much love.

Just want to get my module preordered.

I'd assume the EMMC is going to be faster than the SD card version, but I haven't tested that myself so definitely verify it. As far as size, any of them will work for a stock OS or emulation setup, and it really just depends on what you plan to store on it.

Every version of the CM4 is compatible with my board. I like the Lite because it is cheaper and easy to flash firmware and test things, but all of them can be flashed using the miniUSB connector (even the Lite version).
