Hi I write because I like the idea to get a little more out out of the PSP.
But I see a basic problem, the Pi Zero does not provide very much performance for emulation. But this could change if you were to replace Pi Zero with a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 Lite, this would allow more connections and more power for your project and the possibility to swap the core of the platform quickly.
And the last point it would greatly expand its market.
I hope on feedback.
Best regards

Thanks for joining. The compute module is certainly faster than the zero, and I'll consider it when it's time to move forward.
Any chance to see a CM3 powered PSPi version in near future? I don't own a PSPi yet, but I own all other parts to build my own one except your PCB. I have seen it on my Freeplay Zero (Pi Zero in a GBA shell), the power of a Zero is very limited... It can't handle N64 or PSP, even SNES is limited.
I wouldn't say near future. V4 orders are coming in faster than I can make the boards, and I won't have time to get back to PCB design for a couple months.
Since we are hopefully considering alternatives to the Pi Zero, you might want to look at the SoPine 64 instead of the CM 3 Lite: For the very same price, you get 2 GB of RAM and a Micro SD slot.
