Hi, this might be a redundant question, but have you attempted to use the native screen? I am sure you have this but I found a pinout guide on the original display for the 1000's:  http://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/LCD/Color/LQ043T1DG03.pdf

I've discussed it with a few people over the last couple months. The long, long, long term goal is to integrate an HDMI controller that can drive the stock PSP LCD. The problem is that the schematics are very complicated, and I would have to drop everything for a very long time to make it happen. At least two people have told me that they are working on test boards based on HDMI driver chips, but nothing ever came to fruition. I'll work on this someday, but right now there just isn't time.
